Back Pain

Back pain is one of the leading causes of disability, most of the people that suffer from back pain have very little knowledge about spinal instability which is, in several cases the cause of their pain.

Instead of focusing on the stability of the back, most patients are offered cortisone injections or prescribed pain pills and muscle relaxers to cover up the pain. This often results in further degeneration and an endless “pain management” cycle.

That is because the focus has been placed on treating the symptoms instead of correcting the underlying spinal instability.

Prolozone can stop this cycle by regenerating the weakened and overstretched soft tissue structures along the spine, alleviating pain and instability once and for all.

In fact, back pain is one of the most popular ailments that we treat with Prolozone every day!

Most of our patients are trying to avoid back surgery or have already had back surgery and want to avoid another one.

Our practitioners help patients who have been diagnosed with bulging discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, failed back surgery syndrome, sciatica, and more.

Using Prolozone, often, these conditions can be treated quickly and safely to provide you with a better outcome. If you want to get rid of back pain, it might be time to try Prolozone therapy.

    “Great treatment”

I have been having back pain for nearly 10 years until I start having treatment with Proback. Best money invested ever. After 12 weeks of treatment, as a nurse, this treatment is a lifesaver.

Low Back Symptoms Caused by Spinal Instability

    • Clicking, popping, grinding with motion
    • Difficulty with sitting without back support
    • Frequent episodes of muscle spasms and/or tension
    • Greater pain returning to standing up straight from flexed
    • Painful catching or locking during low back motions
    • Inability to “hold” a spinal (chiropractic and osteopathic) adjustment
    • Need to frequently crack the back to reduce symptoms.
    • Temporary relief with spinal manipulation and mobilization.

    Prolozone Treatment for Back Pain

In 95% of cases of low back pain, the problem originates in the junction between the lumbar spine and the sacrum which is the weakest link in the vertebral pelvis complex. The 5Th lumbar vertebra (L5) connects with the base of the sacrum. This is held together by a network of lumbosacral ligaments.

The sacrum is connected on its sides to the ilium and iliac crest. This is held together by the sacroiliac ligaments. The lumbar vertebrae are held to the iliac crest and ilium by the iliolumbar ligaments. If one of these ligaments gets injured or overstretched, it can create spinal instability.

This is typically the area treated with Prolozone therapy to stimulate and encourage ligament and soft tissue repair.

We use a comprehensive Prolozone therapy technique to treat the entire low back area, including the muscles and soft tissue. This consists of dozens of injections per treatment vs only 1-10 as done by other performing less aggressive injection treatments (including PRP and Stem Cell therapy.)

We find that this is the most clinically effective for long-term effectiveness. This is, in part, why patients travel to our clinics for back pain treatment from all over the UK and internationally.

Generally, within just a few treatments (3 to 6), the ligament tissue has strengthened enough to better stabilize the spine, therefore, alleviating most of the pain.

    Frequent Questions

Back or muscle strains can be the most common form of back pain, these can occur in a number of different ways. For example, sports injuries, incorrect posture when sitting for long periods of time, or when lifting. General wear and tear from an ageing spine can be a common cause, while more severe injuries to the back may occur as a result of a trauma from an accident, or perhaps as a result of back surgery.

Exercises are a fantastic way to strengthen muscles that support the spine, facilitate effective circulation and increase the flexibility of your body. Depending on the severity of a patient’s condition, exercises should be introduced into a treatment plan only when pain levels have decreased to a point where range of motion is not severely compromised. For example, if a patient is unable to put on a coat without feeling back pain, they may not feel confident to perform an exercise such as a lank. As a guideline, ProBack’s practitioners introduce gentle exercises into a treatment plan after the first six to twelve treatment sessions have been completed, although many will be ready to begin light exercises before this point.

The most common causes of lower back pain can often be as a result of a disc problem, for example Degenerative Disc Disease or a slipped disc. It is also possible to have muscle strains in the lower back area of the spine, this can be as a result of a sports injury or a result of having incorrect posture when doing everyday activities such as sitting for long periods of time or lifting.

Once the underlying cause of your back pain has been identified, we can discuss the degree to which we believe your condition can be corrected. Our aim at ProBack is to help to solve the problem as much as we can in the long run. With regular treatment and closely monitored spinal remodeling, we can help your condition to be as manageable as possible.
