What is Limb Bagging Ozone Insufflation?

Used primarily for external wound healing or localized infections, ozone gas is sealed around a limb using a plastic bag.

How it’s done:

• The affected limb (e.g., arm or leg) is enclosed in an ozone-resistant bag.
• Ozone is introduced into the bag and circulates around the limb.
• Duration: ~20–30 minutes

Common Uses:

• Diabetic ulcers
• Infected wounds
• Poor circulation
• Burns and skin infections

Pros:

• Localized therapy
• Promotes tissue healing and microbial disinfection

Considerations:

• Skin may become temporarily irritated or dry
• Not a systemic treatment
