Hi guys I'm always getting asked what is Shockwave Therapy?
So, I thought I'd shoot this short video explaining how it works
The main benefits of Shockwave are that it helps to increase joint mobility improve the blood flow stimulating muscle function and it has a relaxing percussion effect on the nodes. It uses an oscillating hammer in other words it's a mini jackhammer.
Of course, instead of concrete what we're trying to break down is scar tissue and adhesions that often exists throughout the spine and extremities.
Our staff are extensively trained in shockwave therapy and are skilled at finding all the right sore bits and releasing that built-up tension out of the system.
Shockwave can be used as a warm-up for manipulation or for those who are not keen on the idea of being clicked and cracked, it functions as a standalone therapy.
Most patients find it much more gentle an approach than adjustments despite how scary it might sound on this video.
So, what are you waiting for guys?
Come and see if Shockwave or one of our other big four therapies could be the key to unlocking your troubles
Thank you very much, I'm Dr David Brown
